Ann1-CeciSnow-smIn pursuing a Master’s Degree in Environmental History from the University of New Brunswick, Ann did her thesis on Deep Ecology and James Lovelock’s Gaia Theory. This led her to England where she studied the Gaia theory at Schumaker College.

A certified Feng Shui consultant, she and her business associate Dawn Lockwood created The Blue Flag, in the spirit of Tibetan prayer flags, as a symbol “of their love for Mother Earth.” To learn more about the flag’s meaning and purpose, visit

Active in politics, Ann served on several federal government policy committees and was an election observer in the Ukraine during the Orange Revolution in 2004.

In honour of her decades of public service, Ann was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal on 23 October 2002.
